Main purpose
It is mainly suitable for the concentration of liquid materials in industrial sectors such as pharmaceuticals, food, and chemicals, and can also recover alcohol and perform simple reflux extraction.
2、 Structure and operation
This equipment mainly consists of four components: concentration tank, gas-liquid separator, condenser, and liquid receiving tank, all made of stainless steel. In order to meet the needs of pharmaceutical factories and experimental departments of different scales, the specification series of vacuum concentration tanks includes eight types: 50L, 100L, 200L, 300L, 500L, 700L, 1000L, and 2000L. The concentration tanks have a jacket structure and the condenser is a tube type.
Vacuum feeding is used for addition, so when using, the vacuum pump should be turned on and the feeding valve should be opened at the same time. In order to ensure a certain evaporation space, the liquid level in the tank should be close to the cylinder sight glass. After closing the feeding valve, the jacket steam valve can be opened to allow the liquid in the tank to boil moderately and start evaporating. In order to accelerate the speed, vacuum concentration is adopted, and the vacuum degree is determined by the user's different requirements.
The operation can be divided into two types: continuous and intermittent. If pressure reduction technology is used and continuous feeding is adopted, the flow range depends on the size of the concentration tank container. The feeding height should not exceed the cylinder sight glass for the liquid section inside the tank. But currently, many pharmaceutical factories tend to operate with gaps, which is relatively simple and inefficient, but more convenient to operate. Discharge can only be carried out after the tank returns to normal pressure, so it is intermittent discharge.
The principle of this equipment to achieve concentration is relatively simple, that is, the extract is heated to boil, the water is evaporated, and the foam with effective ingredients in the evaporated secondary steam is separated from the vapor liquid separator in the reflux cylinder to avoid waste. The evaporation intensity is generally 50~60. Due to the structure limitation and easy cleaning, the specific gravity of the concentrated solution should not be greater than 1.2~1.25kg/m2h, otherwise, feeding and cleaning will bring some difficulties.
